To take the exam you first need to pass the Advanced Excel pre-course. After that, you will be contacted by Master Affairs to enroll on the next exam season. Finally, you need to register at the Certiport platform, to be able to access your exam.

Exams take place on campus.

The School provides the Microsoft Office Specialist: Excel (Excel and Excel 2019) exam, formerly known as Excel Associate. 

Creating a Certiport account is very straightforward. Here are a few steps you should consider:

• Access the user registration page.
• Choose English as your preferred language. This will allow you to receive the electronic badges to add to your social media. 
• Add your personal information at the Account Setup, Contact Information and Profile. 
• At the Choose a Purpose tab, select the "Take an exam or prepare for an exam" option. 
• At the Program Registration tab, select the type of exam you which to take. In this case, you register for the "Microsoft" option. 
• If you do not have a Microsoft account, you will be taken to the Microsoft Registration page. Fill in the form and accept the Microsoft Non-Disclosure and EULA Agreement.
• Now, submit your data and finish your registration form.

Certiport is the leading provider of certification exam development and delivery of the Microsoft Excel Certification. Certiport provides Compass, the software in which you will be able to take your exam. To access the software you will need to have an account at Certiport.

It is very important that you remember your email and password so that on the day of the exam you can easily access them. 

Compass is Certiport's exclusive exam delivery system that provides a state-of-the-art experience to test candidates through a secure browser. The Compass software delivers a simple and easy way to launch a Certiport certification exam in multiple languages using local software licenses. 

This software is instaled at CATÓLICA-LISBON's labs, where you will take your exam. You do not need to download the software.

After completing the exam, Compass will present your score report. If you selected English as preferred language when creating your account, you will receive the electronic badges on your email. To download your certificate, all you need to do is access it at the My Transcript tab of your Certiport account. 

If after a few hours of completing your exam you do not receive your electronic badges, please contact Certiport support, our Project Officer or Master Affairs Team. 

 

Taking the Microsoft Excel Certification exam might be a challenge. You should practice with your Advanced Excel materials and make sure you are ready for the exam. 

The market value of this exam is $100, which will be waived by the School for students taking their first attempt after successfully completing the online course in Advanced Excel. If you fail or miss the exam, the following attempts will have a cost of 50€. 

You can enroll for the certification exam during you entire time as a CATÓLICA-LISBON student (either during your curricula or thesis semesters).
