Business, Careers, and Longevity: A New Era
The world is undergoing a profound demographic transformation. And with it, the expectations and needs of your clients and your talent are also changing. Everyone is aging, quickly. Half of the babies born today may live to be 100 years old. What does this mean for your business and your career?
In a longevity context, where demographic pyramids are becoming generationally balanced squares, it is necessary to rethink how we live, work, and lead. This intensive one week program raises awareness of the many impacts of the new longevity across organizational functions and analyzes its implications for companies, clients, careers, and for you.
The program takes place in Lisbon, a vibrant European city that attracts multiple generations from different nationalities, from young digital nomads to international retirees who are reinventing their lives and projects. Become longevity ready in one of the world’s leading longevity cities.
Who this program is for:
• Business leaders and managers seeking new growth opportunities.
• Professionals interested in leveraging the benefits of longevity within organizations.
• Managers working with multigenerational teams or clients.
• Professionals who want to reflect on their own professional future or that of their employees.
• Participants who want to understand the impact of longevity on organizations and individuals, while analyzing long term career perspectives.
What makes this program transformational:
• Develops longevity literacy for leaders and managers.
• Analyzes the impact of new demographic dynamics on clients and on the countries where organizations operate.
• Explores changes in employees’ careers, motivations, and professional paths.
• Prepares leaders to manage aging populations and consumers, as well as multigenerational teams.
• Develops the skills needed to lead in a context of increasingly longer lives and careers.
Program Curriculum
The program is structured with a focus on the impacts of longevity on organizations, economies, and cities in the mornings, and on individual transformation in the afternoons, addressing themes such as career, health, wealth, and vision for the future.
Each day ends with Learning Circles, creating moments of self reflection and sharing in small groups. The journey includes company visits, inspiring exchanges with role models, and networking opportunities, including a dinner with Fado.
After the in person week in Lisbon (June 22 to 26), the program includes an online Follow Up session with the Directors, Céline Abecassis-Moedas and Avivah Wittenberg-Cox, to consolidate learning and support next steps.
