- Academic Break
If you do not wish to do an exchange or an academic break for a full-time internship, your 3rd semester will be the Dissertation Semester.
Dissertation Project
The Master's dissertation is the culmination of your master's program. This is when you build on the knowledge and skills acquired during the program to develop an individual project on a topic that resonates with your career aspirations and helps you excel in an area you find professionally relevant. At CATÓLICA-LISBON there are two models for dissertation supervision – an Independent Process, or a project developed in the Dissertation Seminar.
Most of our students develop their industry or academic research in a dissertation seminar supervised by an expert in a specific area. Here is a selection of Dissertation Seminars offered in 2022/2023. This list is updated every year to reflect the topics of interest for our master students and its relevance for companies.
