As we end the academic year, the team of the Center for Responsible Business & Leadership should be congratulated for another remarkable and impactful year.
Momentum was gained despite the pandemic, and the Center is helping navigate the School and Universidade Católica towards sustainability and impact, as you can read in the Center’s 2nd annual activity report.
We continue to believe that a top business school focused on sustainable development such as CATÓLICA-LISBON is an ideal convener of the knowledge, learning and impact initiatives that will contribute to creating a better world. With the support of our key stakeholders (founding partners BP Portugal and Efacec with Gulbenkian, students, executives, faculty and staff) we will pursue that path, with boldness, purpose and ambition.
The foundations are set for an amazing journey in the coming years:
- The Pact for Water is gaining momentum and will help raise awareness and mobilize action to address a fundamental issue for Portugal;
- The new academic year in September will open with a focus on sustainable development through the organization of the SDG Week for all students, between September 21st and 25th;
- Teaching on sustainability is deepening its impact across the School, both in degree programs as well as in executive education, including innovative online programs on Purpose;
- We are helping companies articulate their purpose and develop a strong and valuable impact and sustainability agenda;
- With our Research Notes and this newsletter, we will continue to enlighten and inspire our growing community;
- Finally, we will announce in September new and important initiatives for our mission of aligning corporate agendas with the challenges and opportunities created by the societal pursuit of sustainable development and well-being.
This is a very important and needed impact path that we are exploring and building together.
