Exchange Semester / Internship Abroad

The program offers you the option of doing an optional 3rd Semester before the Dissertation Semester. You can partake in:

  • Exchange Semester at one of our numerous international partner universities
  • Full-time Internship Abroad
  • Academic Break

If you do not wish to do an exchange or an academic break for a full-time internship, your 3rd semester will be the Dissertation Semester.

Dissertation Project or Capstone Project

The Master's dissertation is the culmination of your master's program. This is when you build on the knowledge and skills acquired during the program to develop an individual project on a topic that resonates with your career aspirations and helps you excel in an area you find professionally relevant.

At CATÓLICA-LISBON there are two models for dissertation supervision – an Independent Process, or a project developed in the Dissertation Seminar

In this Master's Program, it is also possible to do a Capstone Project - a project in which students will apply the tools and techniques learned throughout the program to a real-world Business Analytics challenge or research topic.

This project may be developed collaboratively in teams of students who will then prepare and present an individual report on the team’s project expanding on an aspect or set of aspects of their particular interest or to which they contributed the most.

During this semester, you can also enroll in up to 2 elective courses (3.5 ECTS each).
