The Academic Calendar gives you an idea of the course schedule at CATÓLICA-LISBON and allows you to organize yourself during your stay in Portugal. It is a common calendar for students of International Master of Science in Business Administration, Master of Science in Finance and Master of Science in Economics.

Courses & Workload
The normal semester workload for a CATÓLICA-LISBON Master student is 27 to 28 ECTS. Exchange students, however, should follow their home university's guidelines. In the Master Programs, 1 ECTS-credit point stands for 6 contact hours and an estimated workload of around 25 to 30 hours.
The maximum workload per semester is 33 ECTS (28 ECTS+ optional Language Course), corresponding to a maximum of 8 courses per semester and an average of 4 courses per trimester.
Additionally, in order to help you select the courses you will attend during your exchange, the Master Student Affairs makes available an update list of Master courses before every semester.
Portuguese Language Course
A Portuguese Language course for exchange students is provided by the Faculty of Human Sciences. It aims to enable students to tackle the most important daily situations and to get to know Portuguese culture and traditions.
The course is offered every semester, starting at the beginning of September and February.
