Congratulations!

CATÓLICA-LISBON is organizing the election of the student representatives for the academic year 2019-2020.

Student Representatives
6 Master Students, 1 per each program, a mandate for 1 year

The role of the Student Representatives is to broaden communication within the student body and promote an exchange of ideas between faculty, administration, academic and professional services in the school.

To establish and maintain productive and constructive dialogue, student representatives will have regular Roundtable Meetings with academic directors to discuss concerns and ideas from Master students, to convey their ideas to the program administration, career services, and other invitees, depending on the specific agenda. This would also be an opportunity for the administration to share with Student representatives the main initiatives and the strategic outlook of the school.

#1 Dina Uthman

A student representative doesn‘t need to have the best ideas or make the biggest change. You should have your ears very close to the team: carefully listening to the ideas, understanding the reason behind them, to properly position them where they initiate change.
I think we are in the best master program we could be in: the program with the, by far, most diverse community. People from different origins, with diverse backgrounds, experiences and interests. As a team we could not have a more diversified perspective. And this is our biggest asset, to solve challenges we’re facing and identify new opportunities to continuously improve. In this process, I would love to be the one, taking care that every voice is heard and taken into action.

#1 Ricardo Figueiredo

My dear colleagues, I am Ricardo Figueiredo. This short statement confirms my intention to be a representative of master students in economics. I want to play an active role in the on-going improvement of our university and fulfill my desire to improve the welfare of all my colleagues. I see this position as an excellent way to be a part of a team that is involved not only in the current students’ lives, but also in providing an outstanding educational environment for our future students.
I assure you, I will endeavor to express your concerns and defend your ideals. As your friend I will approach each one of you concerning for your well being and I ensure you, your feedback will be implemented together with Católica’s philosophy. We may be just a few in Economics, but I pledge to represent you better than the Cobb-Douglas function represents utility.

#1 Simon Rausch

My name is Simon Rausch and I'm 24 years old.
I'm enthusiastic about facilitating you with the best Master experience possible by addressing shortcomings regarding the courses, administrative issues as well as mediate with the Dean. I want students to feel understood and make this M.Sc. even more desirable to study here at CLSBE

#1 Cláudia Guterres dos Reis

MSc in Management (major in Marketing), vice-president of Católica-Lisbon Investment Partners and Marketing TA for the BSc program. As an active member of our academic community, I am moved by Católica’s values of commitment, passion and excellence. That is what I aim to deliver if you choose to select me as your Student Representative.
During this crucial step in our academic life, I believe we can be change agents regarding the needs that we stumble upon along the way. For that, we need to voice our concerns regarding key subjects such as procedural transparency, workload distribution and achievement recognition. I am here to help us voice our concerns in unison and make this the best experience of our lives!

#1 Oriane Eymery

Hello everyone! My name is Oriane and I am running as candidate for the role of student representative.
I am originally French but I have also lived in the US, Ireland, Belgium and The Netherlands. Since arriving at Católica, I wanted to play an active role in our student community and I see this as the perfect opportunity for me to interact with you all and advance the causes you believe in.
As our journey together has just begun, I want it to run as smoothly and best as possible. For this reason, I will be dedicated to making all of our voices heard and to delivering the best possible experience for us all. I will be devoted to you while listening to your concerns and I can promise you that I will work hard to drive the change you need! I hope I can count on your support.
Have a nice day!

#2 - Vanessa Winkler

Let's build an environment in which learning and collaboration comes with ease! For instance, I want to …
• Make sure there are more power outlets available;
• Help everyone save money on buying books by upgrading the library;
• Cut down waiting times in lines (be it printing or other stuff);
• Help the university become more sustainable.
You may have met me already. If not, it is time! Vanessa – nice to meet you! I like to connect with people and am open to hearing other people’s ideas and complaints. I want to make sure the student‘s voice is heard so that we can build an environment when learning becomes as comfortable as possible :)
Let's face it - the master program will be short and intense, so every moment counts.

#1 Jonas Strunk

Dear fellow students, I'm Jonas, 23 years old and I'm from Germany. At the age of 18 I moved to the Netherlands for my studies where I gained my first experiences as student representative, followed by professional and academic stays in Berlin, Seoul, Munich and a few more… from Europe's fastest growing e-mobility start up to the world’s largest consulting firm.
As an enthusiastic, curious and creative person with a background in music, I do not only want to study at Católica CLSBE – I want to actively contribute to my environment, making Católica CLSBE an even better place. To me, becoming a student representative means to work coequally with my fellow students, university’s staff and professors. To use my influence to represent the student body in university – as well as at Erasmus corner. I am counting on you – to support a community where everyone is heard.
x Jonas
