Francesco Sguera é Professor Associado de Comportamento Organizacional na Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics. Obteve o seu doutoramento em Administração de Empresas, Mestrado em Gestão e Tecnologia Web, e Mestrado em Ciência Política na Universidade de Bolonha. Anteriormente, passou cinco anos como investigador convidado e bolseiro de pós-doutoramento na Ross School of Business (University of Michigan) e, desde 2015, é International Faculty Fellow (IFF) na Sloan School of Management (MIT). A sua investigação foca-se no papel das emoções dos trabalhadores para a performance das organizações, ética empresarial, e metodologia de investigação. Francesco Sguera colabora com instituições numa grande variedade de indústrias incluindo empresas, instituições de saúde e organizações militares.
