7.5 ECTs / Semester / Inglês

This course studies Corporate Finance theory, which analyses (i) the capital budgeting (how to select investment projects) and (ii) the capital structure (how to raise capital) decisions of corporations. It also investigates (iii) how the firm should set its payout policy (how to return profits to shareholders); (iv) how it should prepare for potential mergers and acquisitions; (v) how to hedge and manage risk; and (vi) whether and when it should become publicly listed on a stock exchange.
