The Management and Leadership for Ecclesial Leaders program is a joint initiative of the Rectory of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa and the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics and aims to develop management and leadership practices in the organisations under the responsibility of the catholic church.
Changing contexts, uncertainty, and remote work highlight the limitations of tough and outdated hierarchies of command and control.
In this program, we explore the collective leadership practices to motivate talent and empower the agile teams, aligned with the organization’s goals.
We polished the techniques to structure and stimulate teamwork, communication, problem analysis, and the discussion of ideas, keeping in mind the goal to answer the new challenges, managing change, improve solutions and obtain results.
In a knowledge-based, globalized and open to change society, human resources are at the core of management as being the main factor of comparative sustainable advantage.
Only organisations that have managed to align their human resource policies with their business strategy, integrate personnel and technologies, attract and retain the best talent, develop the potential of employees, involve teams in objectives, create performance oriented cultures and ensure a high level of quality in the professional lives of staff will be able to succeed.
