Maria holds a PhD in Management and Marketing from ISCTE, has a Degree in Chemistry from FCT-UNL, specialization in Biotechnology and a post-graduation in Management from UNL and in Digital Strategy for the age of disruption from the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania). 

With more than 20 years as a Director in Marketing, Customer Marketing, Communication, Sponsorships Management and Sales, Maria Estarreja developed her career in the fast moving consumer goods Industries, in both big Multinational Companies (Procter & Gamble) as well as National ones (Super Bock Group, Nutriveste Group- Compal, Sovena, Nutricafés). During these years, she has managed well-known Brands like Super Bock, Carlsberg, Pedras, Somersby, Vitalis, Nicola, Fairy, Neoblanc, Ariel, Tide, among many others, with a 360 degrees responsibility. Maria was also Specialized Retail Director, Vice-President and member of several Industrial Associations (Waters, Beers, Coffee and Soft Drinks) and was a Board Member of Newcoffee.  

In CATÓLICA-LISBON , she is currently the Executive Marketing Director, Executive Director of the CORE Center- Center for Consumer Well-being and Retail Innovation, Invited Professor for both the Masters Marketing and Strategy Programs, as well as for several Executive Programs, which she has been lecturing for the last 12 years being also the Academic Director of some of these programs. Maria is also Non Executive Board Member of Cerealis and Managing Director and Founder of VICI- Consultancy & Marketing.
