Pedro Coutinho is the Partner responsible for Explorer Investment’s Private Equity Buyout Funds and is a member of the Investment Committee. Explorer Investments is the main independent management company leader in Private Equity in Portugal, managing Funds with net assets around 1,400M€, divided into two business areas: Private Equity and Hospitality.
Previously Pedro worked in Investment Banking, including the M&A team at BBVA in Madrid and the M&A team at former Rabobank-Rothschild joint-venture in Amsterdam and Paris. He began his career in the M&A department at BPI/CaixaBank in Lisbon, Oporto, and Madrid.
He holds a double Master's Degree in finance from Lancaster University Management School and from Católica-Lisbon SBE, has a Bachelor degree in Management from Católica-Lisbon SBE, and obtained a Certificate in Business Strategy from INSEAD and in Negotiation from Harvard Business School.
