Margarida Matos Rosa was president of the Portuguese Competition Authority between 2016 and 2023. In this capacity, she was also vice-president of ICN, the International Network of Competition Authorities. Her mandate coincided with two important negotiations at European level: Directive (EU) 2019/01 on the powers of National Competition Authorities and Regulation (EU) 2022/1925, or Digital Markets Act.

Margarida Matos Rosa holds a Master's degree (MPA) from Princeton University (USA) and a degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium).
