Geraldo Cerqueiro is Associate Professor (with Habilitation) of Finance at Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics (CLSBE). His research focuses on empirical banking and corporate finance. He received a Ph.D. in Finance from Tilburg University (2009), an M.Sc. in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (2003), and a B.A. in Economics from Universidade Católica Portuguesa (2001). He has been a visiting researcher at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Sveriges Riksbank (Sweden’s central bank), MIT, and Banco de Portugal. His work has appeared in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Review of Finance, Management Science, and the Journal of Financial Intermediation.
