Nuno is a partner at Carrilho and Atlaw, responsible for consulting services to the insurance sector. Previously, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of AZUAGA – Companhia de Seguros, S.A. and was a member of its Executive Committee, overseeing risk management, actuarial services, investments, and sustainability. Prior to that, he led the Actuarial and Risk Services practice at PwC. Before returning to PwC, he gained significant experience in auditing and consulting in Portugal, the United Kingdom, Spain, Dubai, and Angola, specifically in the insurance, banking, insurance brokerage, pension funds, and asset management sectors. He is an expert in IFRS, finance, corporate governance, sustainability, quantitative risk management, actuarial science, Solvency II, and regulatory matters in the insurance sector and pension funds. He is frequently invited as a speaker at industry forums and as a lecturer at universities in his areas of specialization. He holds a 5-year degree in Management from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa. He attended the Executive Program in Actuarial Sciences at ISEG and the Executive Program in Strategy at UCL School of Management. He is a Chartered Accountant (OROC), Certified Accountant (OCC), Actuary (IAP), and Economic Advisor (Order of Economists). A native Portuguese speaker, he speaks and writes English and Spanish fluently.
