Nuno Moreira da CruzNuno Moreira da Cruz holds a law degree from the Portuguese Catholic University in Lisbon, a postgraduate degree in European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium), and an MBA from IE Business School (Madrid). Isabel UchaIsabel Rute Ucha da Silva is Chair of the Board of Directors of Euronext Lisbon, the company that manages the Portuguese Stock Exchange, and also serves as a director of Euronext N.V., a multinational group that includes several European stock exchanges. She holds a BSc in Economics from CATÓLICA-LISBON, an MSc in Economics from Universidade Nova, and an MSc Degree in Finance from London Business School. Professionally, among other activities, she served as Advisor for Economic Affairs to the Prime Minister for four years, headed the Issuance and Markets Division of the Portuguese Treasury and Government Debt Agency (IGCP), held positions at the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM), and was an executive partner in a consulting firm for about seven years. Céline Abecassis-MoedasCéline Abecassis-Moedas is Vice-Rector for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. She holds a PhD in Business Strategy (École Polytechnique, Paris), a Master's in Management (Université Paris Dauphine), and a Bachelor's in Economics and Management (École Normale Supérieure de Cachan and La Sorbonne). She is an Associate Professor (with Aggregation) in the areas of Strategy and Innovation at CATÓLICA-LISBON and director of the Longevity Leadership executive program. She was Director of Executive Education between 2019 and 2024. She is a non-executive director at Vista Alegre Atlantis and Lectra. She was a professor at Queen Mary University of London and worked as a strategy consultant at AT Kearney in London and as a Product Manager at Lectra in New York. She was an International Faculty Fellow at MIT Sloan School of Management. Céline's research interests focus on the role of design in innovation, design management, innovation management, and entrepreneurship in the creative industries. Filipe SantosFilipe Santos is Professor of Social Entrepreneurship and Dean of CATÓLICA-LISBON, holding the Alfredo da Silva Chair in Entrepreneurship and the Chair Girl Move Academy for Social Entrepreneurship. He served as Deputy Dean for Faculty before his appointment as Dean in February 2019. He is also a Visiting Professor at INSEAD, where he was a career professor for 12 years between 2003 and 2014. At INSEAD, Filipe Santos directed the Entrepreneurship Center between 2009 and 2013 and founded and directed the Social Entrepreneurship Initiative from 2007 to 2014. He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics and a master's degree in Management and Strategy. He holds a PhD in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, with a focus on Entrepreneurship. He received the Lieberman Award from Stanford University for his extraordinary contributions to the University while serving as Chair of the Graduate Student Council of Stanford University of 8,000 Graduate Students. Professor Filipe Santos' research has been published in the most prestigious scientific journals in Management and has been cited more than 15,000 times (Google Scholar). His research lies at the intersection of strategy, organizational theory, and entrepreneurship, with a focus on the emerging field of social entrepreneurship and social innovation. Other research topics include innovation in business models, impact investing, corporate entrepreneurship, and family businesses. He is co-author of the “Manual para Transformar o Mundo” (Manual for Transforming the World), the first guide for social entrepreneurs published in Portuguese in 2013, with a second edition (in Portuguese and English) published in 2016. As an educator, Professor Filipe Santos has won several awards for teaching excellence at INSEAD, in executive and MBA programs. He also received the 2012 EFMD award for the best case study in the Africa category with the Nuru Energy case series. At CATÓLICA-LISBON, he teaches courses on social entrepreneurship, impact investing, and corporate entrepreneurship. He is a regular speaker at national and international events on entrepreneurship and social innovation. He mentors entrepreneurs and social investors. As a social entrepreneur, Professor Filipe Santos co-founded and served as president of IES-Social Business School in 2009 and the Social Investment Laboratory in 2013, known as Maze-Decoding Impact. In 2015, he founded and was the first president of the public initiative Portugal Inovação Social, which launched an innovative policy to promote and finance social innovation in Portugal, considered a best practice by the OECD and the European Commission. Professor Filipe Santos is President of the European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA) and a member of the investment committee of the Social Innovation Fund, as well as a jury member for several social innovation initiatives and awards in Europe. He seeks to contribute to the development of an economic system aligned with the generation of well-being and prosperity, based on the entrepreneurial energy of citizens who seek purpose and generate social impact. Finally, in September 2019, he received the Social Innovation Thought Leader award from the Schwab Foundation, one of the organizations of The World Economic Forum. |
