Professor Ilídio Barreto, from Católica-Lisbon, was invited to serve for a second term on the Editorial Review Board of the Academy of Management Journal (AMJ), one of most prestigious scientific publications in Management. Professor Barreto accepted the invitation, which according to the Editor was based on his past work for the AMJ and research excellence. He is the first Portuguese scholar to perform such a role.
The AMJ is the flagship empirical journal of the Academy of Management, which is the oldest and largest scholarly management association in the world, with about 20,000 members from 120 countries. The AMJ Editorial Review Board actively participate in the decision-making process through which submitted scientific works are assessed in terms of their quality for publication purposes.
In 2021, Professor Ilídio Barreto was included in the World’s Top Scientists list compiled by Stanford University and published by Elsevier. The list refers to all main knowledge domains (from Physics to Neurology).
