It has been a long and fruitful journey that started almost two years ago, not missing one single week, bringing to our community the most relevant insights of what is happening in the Sustainability area (in the holistic sense that includes the economic, social, and environmental dimensions).

This newsletter (issued every Sunday at 17h) was created with three principles in mind:

  • Inspire: aiming for students and executives to reflect and act on what they read
  • Focus on Current issues: meaning issues that are top of the Sustainability agenda
  • Be Short: making it an easy reading in no more than five minutes

We called them “Have a great and impactful week!”, transmitting our aspiration to inspire others to have an impact on whatever they do – the Planet and the People – and do not aim any less than that!

It has been a privilege to engage with many different authors to develop the weekly messages. Other than ourselves, members of the Center for Responsible Business and Leadership, we had more than 30 contributors, ranging from students to CEOs, from academics to consultants. We honestly believe the quality of our newsletter is a tribute to the engagement of all to contribute to a better society.

We covered a myriad of topics – with a strong focus on corporate issues and world events that are having a relevant impact on the progress towards a more sustainable society. But, at the same time, we did not shy away from calling attention to those which behaviour is below the threshold that should be expected.

You can count on us to carry on pushing the Sustainability agenda, always having in mind our Purpose: “Contribute to a society where we only have Responsible Businesses, led by Responsible Leaders”. In the last two years, despite the pandemic (or triggered by it…), we have witnessed significant progress in the engagement of corporations with the sustainable development agenda. We want to see even more progress when we will be writing edition #200 and our Center aims to be one of the forces accelerating that progress towards sustainability, for Portugal and the World.

Stay tuned and have a great and impactful week!
