Today, July 17, 2024, at 2:30 PM, at the Rectory of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Filipe Santos, the current Dean of Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics, was reappointed for the 2024-2027 term at the invitation of the Rector of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Isabel Capeloa Gil.

The members of CATÓLICA-LISBON's Dean´s Office were also sworn in: Guilherme Almeida e Brito, Dean for Academic Affairs; Miguel Godinho de Matos, Dean of Faculty; Rita Coelho do Vale, Dean for Undergraduate Programs; Kyryl Lakishyk, Dean for Master Programs and Nuno Moreira da Cruz, Dean for Executive Education.

For this new mandate, Filipe Santos identifies the main goals as energizing the CATÓLICA-LISBON community around the construction of the new campus while strengthening the School's quality, internationalization and impact among all its stakeholders.

Reviewing the mandate that ends today, the Dean of CATÓLICA-LISBON highlights the achievements of the past five years. “Building and mobilizing an extraordinary team, rising 10 positions in the Financial Times ranking to become the 22nd best European School, developing an internal area for pedagogical innovation, launching a pioneering executive undergraduate's degree model in Europe, creating the first executive master's degree in sustainability in Portugal, deepening the internationalization of undergraduate's and master's degrees, and developing centers of excellence and projects that have received global awards in sustainability and social innovation”, emphasizes Filipe Santos.

According to the Dean of CATÓLICA-LISBON, this three-year mandate will be “about developing and consolidating the innovations launched in the previous mandate. In particular, developing the recently launched projects that connect with society, such as the Centre for Sustainable Finance and the Family Business Platform, welcoming the first students to our doctoral program, as well as consolidating CATÓLICA-LISBON as the undisputed leader in the areas of sustainability and impact.”

The swearing in of Dean Filipe Santos and the Dean´s Office of Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics took place today at the Rectory of Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Lisbon.
