CATÓLICA-LISBON teams in the final of the Global Social Innovation Challenge

Two CATÓLICA-LISBON teams will represent Portugal in the final of the Global Social Innovation Challenge, which will take place today in San Diego, California - USA.

For the first time, the Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics has two projects representing the country in a challenge of social innovation, in competition with 26 universities from 12 different countries.

Created by the University of San Diego in 2011, the Global Social Innovation Challenge is a social impact entrepreneurship competition that promotes a differentiated understanding of current social problems. Then, students must identify all the flaws of the case under analysis and present possible solutions, with a positive and financially sustainable impact.

The winners will receive a prize of $50.000, as well as other resources that will allow the implementation of the projects.

The final round of the competition, open to the public, will be held in San Diego, California - USA. Those interested, who are unable to attend the event, will be able to follow the developments of the contest online
