On June 25, at 6:00 p.m., Católica-Lisbon SBE | Executive Education will host the conference “The New Challenges Facing Banking in a Context of Global Disruption” in the Main Auditorium (Room 511). Organised in partnership with NTT DATA Europe & Latam, the event will bring together business leaders, financial sector experts and academics to discuss the future of banking in an era shaped by artificial intelligence and accelerated technological transformation.
The financial sector is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by rapid technological advances and the growing integration of artificial intelligence into business operations. The evolution of Agentic AI is opening up new opportunities for value creation, challenging traditional models and raising new questions about how organisations innovate, operate and position themselves in an increasingly dynamic environment.
The conference will bring together different perspectives on the challenges and opportunities associated with this transformation, exploring how organisations can ensure continued innovation and relevance while responding to the demands of an increasingly digital ecosystem.
The session will be opened by Filipe Santos, Dean of Católica-Lisbon SBE, followed by a keynote address from João Baptista Leite, CEO of UNICRE, focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on the financial sector. The panel discussion will feature Maria João Carioca, co-CEO and CFO of Galp, and Rúben Germano, General Manager of Revolut Bank, moderated by Jorge Tavares, Head of Banking at NTT DATA Portugal.
