From July 7 to 10, 2025, CATÓLICA-LISBON welcomed around 45 high school students, primarily from the 11th and 12th grades, for the 8th edition of the Junior Executive Program,  an initiative designed to give participants a first-hand experience of university life in the fields of Economics and Management.

Over the course of four intensive days, students attended classes on core subjects such as economics, marketing and entrepreneurship, and took part in hands-on workshops on negotiation, job interview preparation, and other relevant topics for their academic and professional development.

According to Rita Ferreira, Head of Marketing & Admissions for undergraduate programs, “this 8th edition of the Junior Executive Program was particularly impactful. It brought together highly engaged and dynamic high school students who stood out for their enthusiasm and active participation. Over these four days, they had the chance to get to know each other, share experiences, and explore key topics in Management and Economics with our professors through both classes and practical workshops”

Students also interacted with the Careers & Talent and Marketing & Admissions departments to work on their soft skills and gain insight into the admissions process.

Highlights of the program included visits to the Behavioral Insights Unit, part of CATÓLICA-LISBON’s knowledge centers, and to CTT (Portugal’s national postal service), where students were able to observe the business world up close.

“This year reaffirmed the importance of this program in developing skills among high school students and helping them discover their true calling”, concludes Rita Ferreira.

In addition to the academic component, participants had the chance to explore the school’s facilities and connect with current university students, bringing them closer to the environment of one of Europe’s top business schools.
