01. What happens if I use more than 67 ECTS in course work?

In the event of having exceeded the maximum amount of 67 ECTS in coursework allowed in the MSc program, students will have to settle - prior to their thesis defence - the extra cost corresponding to the ECTS in excess. Check the Enrollment and Tuition Fees List for more information.

02. Can I waive courses besides the ones automatically waived?

No.

03. Can I take a grade improvement exam?

No.

04. What happens if I don’t complete the 60 ECTS in two semesters? Do I have to pay more to take courses later?

Students are allowed to enroll for courses during the thesis semester, (maximum of 2 courses per trimester) or even later, and they don’t have to pay more tuition fees. Those ECTS are part of the program you paid. 

05. Do I need to have an exchange semester?

No. Besides Exchange (or Double Degree), you can fulfill the international requirement with an International Internship (minimum of 6 weeks - 240 hours, in a country other than Portugal and your home country).

06. If I go on exchange, how many ECTS can I take abroad?

Minimum required: 18 ECTS

Maximum allowed: 36 ECTS

07. Do I have to pay for the ECTS I take abroad?

Yes, the Exchange semester has an additional fee. Check the Enrollment and Tuition Fees List for more information.

08. Are the Leadership Lab workshops included in the maximum of 4 courses per term?

No. Leadership Lab activities and Technical Modules and are excluded from this limit.

09. How many Leadership Lab workshops can I take per term?

We advise students to register for 1 ECTS per trimester.

10. Can I take a minor?

No.

11. How and when can I change majors?

The request to change your major is made using the form available here. Your request will be analyzed by the Academic Director and within approximately 2 weeks, you will receive an e-mail with the response.

12. If I decide to change my major, what are the consequences?

You may need to take some more courses to get the number of ECTS required in foundation courses or to complete your major, and if this is the case, you may need one more semester. 

13. Are the Technical Modules graded?

No. However, students have to take a final exam and are evaluated in terms of “Approved” or “Failed”. The only exception is the Advanced VBA module, which has a quantitative grade.
