International Bachelor's Degree in Economics & Finance

(Course taught exclusively in English)

The International Bachelor's Degree in Economics was launched in 2014, becoming a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics & Finance in 2017, and CATÓLICA-LISBON was once again a pioneer in its internationalization strategy. Over the years, it has continued in the vanguard, keeping up with changes in international teaching standards and the demands of a constantly changing global labor market and business environment.

With a teaching staff made up of leading academics in the production of scientific knowledge and reputable members of industry and the business arena, the international Bachelor's Degree in Economics & Finance is intensely focused on International Economics & Finance and the course has a highly analytic framework.

When you have concluded your Economics course, you will have advanced knowledge of topics such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics and Corporate Finance.

After the common core first year, which allows students to learn more about the basics of management, along with useful concepts in the area of economics and finance, the students will have access to elective subjects in a study plan that can be customized according to the areas they are most interested in and the professional future they aspire to.

When building a personalized curricular plan, the elective subjects available for this bachelor's degree course are part of an exclusive management track, opening doors to the interdisciplinarity that is in the DNA of the Business School.

In line with the international experience and to open up new horizons, CATÓLICA-LISBON also has protocols with universities in over 40 countries for exchange programs, through the Erasmus program and other protocols, such as Double Degrees or the International Tri-School Exchange.

In third year, students set out to gain an enriching international experience, doing one or two exchange semesters. This not only opens the doors to new cultures and languages and greater self-awareness, but it also broadens their horizons. This experience is highly valued, both by recruiting companies and when applying for a master's degree course.

Learn in Action is a development program for personal skills development which is included in the compulsory study plan and has been developed exclusively for our bachelor’s degree students.

The aim is to take practice a little further, with training devoted to the essential skills needed for the labor market and the opportunity to take part in different extracurricular activities, including internships, volunteering and even entrepreneurial projects that will generate richer resumés and more complete people.

This is why bachelor's degrees from CATÓLICA-LISBON guarantee employability rates very close to 100% within six months of completing the course.
