This program aims to go beyond the traditional training model organized by major functional areas, adopting instead an approach that reflects the new risks, contexts, and competitive challenges of the insurance industry. It focuses on how innovation and transformation, particularly digital transformation, can contribute to the advancement of this vital sector of our society.

Program Goals:

  • To understand the new environment in which the insurance sector operates, particularly in light of the competitive challenges posed by emerging risks, innovation, and transformation.

  • To explore how innovation and technology are enabling (digital) transformation in insurance.
  • To identify the key strategic challenges facing the insurance industry.
  • To understand the strategic thinking and scope within the insurance domain.
  • To grasp the impact of (digital) transformation across the insurance value chain.
  • Whenever possible, to contextualize insights within the Portuguese insurance market through use cases. As such, this program combines academic foundations with practical insights from industry experts.
  • To engage various insurance sector stakeholders in this conversation — including insurers, reinsurers, and distributors — as well as organizations from other sectors where risk management plays a key role.
  • In the program’s final module, participants will use design sprint methodologies to develop innovative and disruptive concepts or service approaches for the insurance industry.
