ESG Challenges: Prepare, Report, and Act with Confidence
The current European regulatory context imposes new and increasingly urgent responsibilities and challenges on companies regarding the design, decision-making, and implementation of sustainability strategies, as well as meeting ambitious sustainability reporting requirements.
In this context, the executive program "ESG Strategy and Reporting" is an innovative initiative in Portugal that aims to respond in a practical way—complemented by concrete case studies—to the deep knowledge needs of leaders, decision-makers, consultants, and operational staff. This includes understanding and complying with current regulatory obligations, such as:
Reporting duties under the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive),
Use of mandatory standards such as the ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards),
Application of the EU Taxonomy.
These new European regulatory duties have a systemic and cross-cutting effect. While they focus on information disclosure, they also demand strategic definition. They don’t just affect large, listed, or financial companies—they also impact all companies in their value chain, including SMEs. It is therefore essential to prepare and equip all companies for this new strategic, regulatory, and reporting paradigm.
The launch of this new executive program seeks to offer practical, integrated, and up-to-date support for companies facing this new sustainability regulatory framework—preparation must begin now. The program is delivered by top professionals in an interdisciplinary setting, in collaboration between the Católica Business School and the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal, as part of its Executive Education offerings.
