The current European regulatory context increasingly and urgently imposes new duties and challenges on companies regarding the design, decision-making, and implementation of sustainability strategies, as well as compliance with ambitious sustainability reporting requirements.
In this context, the executive program "ESG Strategy and Reporting" stands out as an innovative program in Portugal, aiming to respond practically, complemented with concrete testimonials, to the need for in-depth knowledge by leaders, decision-makers, consultants, and practitioners regarding current regulatory obligations and duties. These include, among others, compliance with reporting duties under the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive), the use of mandatory standards such as ESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards), and the application of the European Taxonomy.
The new European regulatory duties have a systemic and cross-cutting effect. They focus on information provision but also require strategic definition. They do not only affect large companies or financial and listed companies but also impact all companies in their value chain, including SMEs. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare and empower all companies for a new strategic, regulatory, and information paradigm.
The launch of this new executive program aims precisely to contribute in a practical, integrated, and up-to-date manner to companies' responses to this new sustainability regulatory framework, whose preparation must begin immediately. The program is developed with the support of top professionals, in an interdisciplinary framework, in collaboration between the Católica Business School and the Faculty of Law within the scope of the Executive Courses at the Universidade Católica Portuguesa.

- C-Suites: Leaders with decision-making capacity over strategy, sustainability plans, financial and sustainability reporting, investor and regulator information, among others;
- Members of administration and supervision boards, non-executive directors (NEDs);
- Directors: Sustainability Directors, Investor Relations Directors, ESG Officers, managers of operational teams impacting transition and sustainability plans and financial and ESG reports, particularly those who are focal points for interaction with the board of administration, auditors, certifying entities, and regulators;
- Consultants/Auditors: Service providers in the ESG area, including auditors, certifiers, evaluators, rating agents, and other types of ESG consultants.
