Statistics for Business and Economics

Statistics I is a mandatory first year course of the international undergraduate degree in Economics and Finance. It provides a systematic introduction to the fundamental concepts and methods of statistics, and to the practical considerations in the analysis of data. The course covers univariate and bivariate descriptive statistics, elementary probability, discrete and continuous random variables, their distributions, moments, and conditional expectations, and applications of statistics in social science with emphasis on statistical decision theory.
