Maria José Amich é a nova diretora executiva do The Lisbon MBA

It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Maria José Amich as the Executive Director of The Lisbon MBA Católica|Nova.

Maria José holds a bachelor degree in Economics from Université de Genève (Switzerland) and an MBA from IESE Business School (Barcelona, Spain).

She started her career in Copenhagen, as Management Consultant at DDS – De Danske Sukkerfabrikker, a sugar manufacturer, currently Nordic Sugar. After a brief spell in the banking sector, as Financial Analyst, she joined the FMCG sector working in executive management positions in Marketing and Sales for companies such as Puig, Gillette, and Kellogg in Spain and Portugal.

Maria José also has experience in the media sector. She was General Manager of Sojornal.com and Gesco SA, a spin-off of Impresa Group, as well as Business Development and Commercial Director at newspaper SOL. Previously she was Communication Director and Strategic Business Adviser at Regojo, a family-owned fashion retail business, and more recently Managing Director for SUMMA, a branding consulting company.

Apart from other interests, Maria José has always felt attracted to entrepreneurship. In 2012 she founded WomenWinWin, an association that aims to support and foster women’s entrepreneurship initiatives. She is also Founding Partner of PWN Lisbon (Professional Women Network) and Board Member in the last mandate of FAE, Board Directors, and Managers Forum.

Maria José was born in Barcelona and lives in Portugal since 1995. She is fluent in five languages, married and has three children.
