Application Period
There is only one application period for the Undergraduate Exchange Program (both One-SEMESTER and One-YEAR programs). Applications will take place between February 19th, 2024 (from 9AM, Lisbon time) and February 20th, 2024 (until 6PM, Lisbon time). Results will be announced on February 26th, 2024 (until the end of the day).
Application Process
> Each student applies individually to the Undergraduate Exchange Program through the Application Form available at the Outgoing Platform during the application days only. The International Office will provide candidates with an Application Guide for the Outgoing Platform closer to the application period;
> Each student may select up to 10 universities in the Application Form and list the choices in order of preference from 1 to 10 (being 1 the most preferred and 10 the least), as well as indicate the desired mobility period (if applicable).
> Only schools with at least 2 slots available are eligible for the One-YEAR Program, since 1 slot corresponds to 1 student/semester.
> Alterations to the Application Form can be done during the whole length of the application period. Applications must be submitted before the application period is over (only the last form submitted will count for allocation purposes). Once the application period has ceased, applications can no longer be edited and/or accepted;
> It is the students’ sole responsibility to submit his/her Application Form on time, as well as to confirm that the university selection is correct and complete.
Allocation and Results
Students will be allocated to partner universities according to the designated selection criteria and should be aware that they may not be assigned to their first choice; therefore, they will be automatically allocated to the subsequent choice with slots available according to their pre-established order of preferences.
Results will be announced on February 26th, 2024 (until the end of the day). Allocation results are individual, final and conclusive. No changes are allowed after the end of the application period and at any time during the international mobility program, such as:
- Change of Host University;
- Switching slots with colleagues;
- Change the duration of the mobility program;
- Switching semesters (i.e. from Fall to Spring semester or vice-versa).
Upon results announcement by the International Office, students must confirm their allocation at the Outgoing Platform > MY PROCESS >> SELECTION RESULTS.
Non-allocation
Students who were not allocated to a partner university within the Undergraduate Exchange Program will be notified by e-mail. Among other reasons, non-allocation may occur due to:
- Lower average than other students for the same slot;
- Did not include enough options in their Application Form and/or all schools listed were selected by students with a higher average.
