José Garcia obtained his undergraduate degree in Economics at University of Porto. He also holds a Master's degree in Economics from both Nova School of Business and Economics and Maastricht School of Business and Economics, as he was a student of the Double Degree programme in Economic Studies. After serving as a Teaching Assistant of Principles of Macroeconomics at Nova School of Business and Economics for two years, he initiated his PhD studies at the University of Cambridge, where he completed the demanding MPhil in Economic Research programme.
His main research interests lie in the field of Macroeconomics and International Economics, although he is also assisting several research projects on Strategy, Management and Innovation.
