Economic relations between Germany and Portugal are of extreme importance for economic development, especially for Portugal.
German investment in Portugal, exports to Germany and other destinations show these relationships, whose dynamism depends heavily, namely, on innovation.
The most important players in this context are approximately 400 German companies in Portugal and an even larger number of Portuguese exporters as well as many other people who contribute on a daily basis so that the bilateral economic relations between the two countries continue to grow. Few are known but many deserve recognition for their commitment.
In this context, the Portuguese-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry, together with its partners Roland Berger, Informa D & B and the Smart City Innovation Lab at CATÓLICA-LISBON, launched an initiative that aims to identify and highlight the most important players, among others in the innovation category, and reward them in an outstanding annual event to be held at the end of the year.
Eligible will be innovations of German companies in Portugal and Portuguese companies with a link to Germany in the categories of
- technology,
- product / service and
- business model
